If women occupy the same positions, hold the same titles, score the same goals, and put in the same energy, passion, expertise and time as men (if not more), then why are we not being compensated equally?
We know we deserve to see the same numbers, yet we are settling for what is given to us. Why? Maybe talking about money makes us uncomfortable or perhaps we are unaware of just how much we could actually be making. Or, maybe we've decided that not rocking the boat will secure a comfortable future. There are many reasons but this doesn’t mean that it has to be our reality. Everything is negotiable after all, right?
And whether we work in corporate environments, are entrepreneurs or freelancers, we are often also less financially literate than our male counterparts, but financial literacy is a vital tool in our push for equal pay. So what resources are out there to help us define our long term financial goals and build long term wealth?
Join us and our powerful tribe of Rebel Women as we talk about all things Equal Pay and how to build Equal Wealth. We are here to support one another, jump into the uncomfortable money talks, and set the standard for what we will accept moving forward. Let’s show up for each other, for our teammates and for the women who come after us. When we win, everyone wins.
The unstated rules tell us that we deserve less and society encourages us to stay silent. Reality check: we are Rebel Women. We do not stay silent and we’re here to break the rules. Let’s discuss how we can all drive the conversation and our reality forward.

At Invest Atlanta, I lead our efforts to support Atlanta’s startups and entrepreneurs. I am focused on building our strategy to grow the tech community locally and to market Atlanta as a top destination for startups looking to relocate or do business in Atlanta. Over the past year and a half, we’ve built a toolkit of resources for Atlanta’s tech companies, bridging access to funding, customers, and tech talent. Some of the ways we’ve supported the community are by 1- institutionally investing in women and minority-focused funding sources, 2- building our diverse tech talent pipeline through our Students2Startups program, and 3- creating opportunities for startups addressing our largest urban challenges to test and validate their technology with the City of Atlanta through our Smart City pilot program.
Prior to Invest Atlanta, I have over 10 years experience as a global connector and ecosystem builder with demonstrated experience of working across public, startup, and academic sectors. I have supported entrepreneurial growth domestically and internationally. I am passionate about entrepreneurship as a means to understand the “why” behind our biggest global problems and motivated to creative,well-designed solutions leveraging startup companies and new technology. I am a natural connector across communities and enjoy tapping into network strengths to build collaboration, efficiency, and collective buy-in.
